Default I'm ready to ask for help!

Thanks to a wise and generous sister-in-law, I am ready and willing to post the following:

BS and I have decided it is time to move and we have decided to go with a realtor and would like to list as soon as possible. Because of the back problems I have when I'm pregnant (and they've already started) I am petitioning to my friends and family for help in getting my house ready to put on the market. I think that between everybody this project will be a lot easier. If you're willing and available would you please contact me? I'm thinking the week after Thanksgiving would be the best week to do everything because the week of Thanksgiving is always crazy and once December starts, it's crazy as well. If you're interested in helping, please let me know. It would be much appreciated, but please don't feel pressured to help out either - I understand how busy all of your lives are. I just thought I'd ask. What am I out??? Hey, maybe we can even make this a BnS party??

What????????? Your kidding right? You can't drop a bomb like that. Your making my stomache hurt. I have to keep on checking on who wrote this post. Where in the heck are you going?

You can count me in on whatever you need even if that is talking you out of your crazy talk. I mean it.

Love ya,

LnF

Oh, Diva, I know how hard this decision must have been, but don't expect me to make it any easier. Don't move. Well, move, because I know you need the space, but make it close. And even as I write this I'm thinking hey nothing will change really. You'll still be on here and you'll still have a phone, right?

I would love to help. I think at this time though, I would be able to help best, by volunteering my babysitting skills to anyone who could actually physically go to your house and do the dirty work. So I can open my house to anyone, any day, except Tuesdays. I will watch your children while you go help Diva get her house ready. Yours too Diva. If you are doing something where you need them out of the house send them right over.

Well, call first of course. I say everyday and then I'm thinking, but I have visiting teaching this day, and I'm over at the school this day. But call me and set up a time and day and I'll be here.

Otherwise, I could always wash windows, or bring my carpet steamer and shampoo your carpets, but I might be packing a few extra little people with me. And although they really are hard workers, the work the accomplish doesn't always out way the work they create.

Dia

You know I haven't told any of my friends that I am probably moving. So, I know it must have been hard for you to come out and say it!

I'm praying for you!

You know everyone is dying to know where!!
Or is that a secret?

Good for you for asking for help!!! We finally asked for help in getting our home ready to rent when we moved to MA last year. We were in the middle of remodeling our basement (a long-term do-it-yourself project for us) when we learned we were moving. It was humbling for us to ask for help, but we definitely needed it. Our friends & family came through for us, and yours will too. If I were close I'd come & help; then I could actually meet you.

It's always difficult to make that first announcement, but once you do, a weight is lifted & things fall into place. Good luck!

I know you'd help if you were here, mx. Thanks for your encouragement and support. Sorry to disappoint, but we're staying close by.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you so much. I had a lot of anxiety before hitting the submit button and I thought I was going to throw up writing this, so really....thank you. It does feel like a huge weight has been lifted.

And Dia, I really appreciate your help. Thanks for your prayers, mx!!!

Oh, and yes, Dia, I will still be on this website. I'm so going to need that after moving to a new area. And I'm sure we'll keep our phone number and if you're having one of those days where you just can't pick up the phone I have e-mail, too.

That's crazy! I didn't see that coming. That is a hard decision to make I'm sure. I would love to help in anyway I could. Even if it's just babysitting!
Let me know!

I talked to LnF tonight and she said the same thing. I'm sorry to spring this on you guys. I didn't think about what it would sound like hearing the news because I've been thinking about it for so long.

I know I'm being vague in when you can come and that's because I don't want to sound demanding as to when you need to come. I'm really doing what I can when I can. It would be great if I could plan a day when a lot of you could come so that I can have a huge project rather a bunch of little ones. So let's start here, who's able to come to my house and help and what days work best for you? Based off this information we can just pick the day that works best.

I'm sorry to hear about your plans to move, but I totally understand it. Are you planning on staying in Tooele, or do you want to go somewhere else? I'd like to come and help. As long as it isn't heavy lifting, I should be able to help! Afternoons are usually best for me. But, depending on the day, I may be able to help in the morning. Just let me know! And by the way, I am proud of you for asking for help! That is tough to do.

Well shucks! I was hoping maybe we could buy some huge chunk of land together, then me and BS could have the best MX track of all time

We could even grow our own grains

All those boys would do a fine job at helping out around the property and such.

See, I had y'alls whole life planed out

BS would love the track idea. That's all he talks about when he talks about getting lots of land. I suppose if he wants it bad enough, he'll one day get that for himself.

OH MY!!! What crazy news.

I do understand the need to move (when the feeling hits), but to be completely honest...it makes me a little sad on a selfish level.

I will definitely help out, though, with any needs you may have. I can only do evenings at this point. Tuesdays are typically good nights for me, as DH is usually home (but with a little notice, I can try to be there 'whenever' you need).

Maybe you could do a day-shift and a night-shift?

I just adore you guys. No matter where you go, you'll have to come over for our 2nd annual night-games and dinner. Seriously!

Count us in!!!! We are going to miss being gone, but remember, we haven't sold the house yet. We're just listing it for now and leaving the rest in Heavenly Father's hands.

Okay, I have one vote for Tuesday, it'll be the 27th - oh man, that's pack meeting night. That's not gonna work. Okay, back to the drawing board.

Well, it's about time you asked for help! My 2-doors-down neighbor and I were just saying, she's going to need some help when she gets serious about moving. I'm excited for you- I LOVE moving into a new house. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I'm gonna be stuck in my little house for a while more, though, so I'm envious.

Diva, you are staying in Tooele, right? So that's all good. And thankfully, we have this BnS as a meeting place... I would have lost touch with almost all of you ladies when the ward split, if it weren't for this site.

I will come help next week, Diva. Monday at about 12:00 good? I may be able to come on another day, too... every week is busy, but I will see what I can do.

I can babysit all day and all night Monday. Tuesday morning is out for me, but I could be home by 11:00 and I could babysit until 6:00. Wednesday is out (all day trip to Festival of Trees), Thursday my 3 year old has a dentist appointment at 2:00, but I could babysit anytime before that and then after that until 5:30. Friday I'm at the school from 8:45-11:45 and then back again at 1:00, but DH will be home and he wouldn't mind, if you needed to drop your kids off.

I really appreciate this, BW. You have no idea how badly I needed to hear you say what a positive experience moving will be. I had someone tell me this weekend that they just wouldn't move if they had to go to all this work at moving (and had to ask for help - I think was more the issue). It was very hard to hear it and I was starting to feel alone because I was excited and everyone else was saying (are you nuts???). THANK YOU!!! Really, it means more than you'll ever know.

As far as Monday, that sounds great! I'll plan on that. Thank you.

And Dia, I'm not sure if you're talking to me or to BW about babysitting, but I think I'll be okay because my DH is home.
