How would I go about setting up different catorgories and moving my already existing enteries into them?

Do you write "TIA" because that's how Dia is pronounced? Just wondering.

Go to your blog.

Then under the "Blog Tools" (top right corner) choose modify settings.

Once you are there, click on Manage Categories (left side under the blog manager section).

Add your categories that you want, and submit them. The display order is the order that they show up in the list, so you can adjust them as you please.

When you do this it creates categories that are specific to only you. If you have a category that you think we should all probably have access to, just let me know and I'll add it to the global category listing.

Ok, now to change your blogs so they are in specific categories. Go to the blog you want to change. Now on the lower left corner of your blog entry (not the comments) you will see a link that says "edit" click on that, and change your category and save it. That's it.

Let me know if you have any other questions, as I know that thing is a beast at this point, so just let me know, and I'll help as much as I can.

TIA means Thanks In Advance

Dia is actually pronounced Gia. The "D" makes the "G" sound in portuguese.

FHE was great. I was actually just going to blog it, because of something that happened. But I have to get in the shower first so my hair can dry while I'm chatting. So I'll be back in a minute.

Hey, I got it. Now I just have to decide what I'm going to do with it.

I wanted to get my enteries all organized like yours. However, I'm not sure I can. My blogs are all mixed up and blend into together like chapters of an unorganized story. They really don't stand on their own. I might have to do some more enteries just to connect them to something else and form categories through the connections.

Anyway that is my concern not yours. So, thanks a bunch.

Also, you might want to turn on blocks if you have them off. And specifically, add the category block to the top, then it will show your category.

This isn't the easiest thing to do though, so ask me if you get stuck.

What is a block?

A block is a new "block" if you will that allow you to show different things about yourself or your blog.

On the front page of the blogs directory, those boxes that have links to most popular, most replied to, etc, are called blocks.

You can add them to your own blog as well. They are a little different than those, but still called blocks.

Also, on my blog, I have that block titled "About me" and "categories." Those are blocks that you have the option of adding.

The two I would enable if you want is the Categories and About me. Some of the others might interest you as well.

Oh, and you will see them in the same place you add categories. It's the link just above it called "Manage Blocks"
