I have a used but very good condition dryer in my garage- does anyone need or know of someone who needs a dryer? I'm in Tooele~ if you want it come and get it- it's free free free! I also have a very nice entertainment center that I was trying to sell on KSL.com for $75 and didn't get any bites, but if anyone wants it for $50, I'll do that. It's solid oak and very nice, but has a little bit of wear from use and only holds about a 32" tv. It's extremely heavy, but nice. I can't seem to figure out how to upload an image here. It seems like if I go a couple of months without doing something like that I lose the knowledge- for some reason it won't let me~ anyway, let me know if you're interested.

Unrelated to the dryer -- Do you get an error when you try to upload a picture? Are you trying from the Photogallery?

without checking I'm pretty sure I disabled attaching to posts for pictures. The gallery is the best option.

Does your dryer take less than 2 hours to dry? I have 2 in my basement. One of them took about 2 hours, but now doesn't work, the other takes to hours, but you have to restart the cycle after the first one - you can guess how good I am at remembering to do that. Is it gas or electric? I am probably interested if you still have it.

Stargazer, if your dryers are electric, it is pretty simple to replace the heating element. I've done that on a few dryers when they stop drying very well. If this doesn't work out and you are interested in some assistance with this, let me know and I'll come over and help. You do of course have to buy a new heating element to replace the old one with.

Or you can come get this free dryer. It is electric and I think it takes less than two hours. I know when our old one konked out and a friend let us have this one I thought it was sooo much faster than my old one, which easily took an hour and a half or more to dry a load- it was ridiculous. Let me know if you want it- it's just gathering dust in my garage!

I would take the free one first, and then if it sucks too, choose the one you like and we can get a new heating element for it and replace it.

Alright! If it's still collecting dust in your garage, I'll arrange a truck and get it picked up. DH replaced the element in our gas dryer and it worked well for about a year and then it quit heating again. At that same time I got the electric dryer from my cousin, but it has never worked well and it takes me forever to do laundry. So, we'll give yours a try.

You can borrow my truck as well. It's full of stuff at the moment, but it should be cleaned out tomorrow.
