Default Need Help

We have a big pile of rocks and junk that we need hauled away. We have tried several times to hire someone to come take care of it for us and have been unsuccesful. We are now thinking that we could just do it ourselves if we had a trailer or a big truck or something. Then we could host another service project or something and have people come over and help us load.

Does anybody in the Tooele area have any idea of where or even what we would need to borrow or rent to haul this pile away? You have all seen it so you know how big it is. We are hoping to be able to do it all in one load, because the dump charges by the load.

I'm not sure I've seen your "junk pile" but would it all fit in the back of my truck?

If it will, I have 5 boys and me that would love to do a service project to help you out.

Just let me know, and call me if this is something you want to do.

I'm not sure if it would. I can't think of what "truck" you have. I'll talk to EF and get back with you.

Oh, and if you haven't seen my pile I probably should describe it to you. It has more rocks and dirt than anything. The rest of the stuff could just go in the garbage can. It is the rocks and dirt that I really need hauled away.

It's just a full sized pickup truck. It's old, but she's golden.

Are you talking about the dirt/rocks on the the side of your driveway (south side)?

Yep that would be it. EF said, in passing, (In other words we weren't sitting down face to face, so I don't know if he really understood what it was we were talking about) that it would probably take like five loads to haul it in a full size pickup. We might be better off hiring a dump truck and front loader.

I thought the same thing. You have a good amount of dirt and it would be an easy job for a dump truck/back hoe. But I know money doesn't grow on tree's, so just let me know.

At this point the money isn't the problem We finally got a call back on someone with the right equipment. Now it will just be a matter of them wanting such a small job. That has been the problem. The job is to big to do on our own and too small for any construction company to want it. Oh, well. Hopefully this last one will come through. Thanks Big S!
