I took Mamallama's advice and am only exercising 3 times a week. That has been the greatest thing for me. I hadn't exercised for a while so I wasn't sure how I was going to do. If I'd quit or what, you know? This has been a great way for me to build up my confidence. I feel like I'm on that roller coaster that everyone is talking about but I don't want to get off because I love experiencing the new _______ around each corner. It's great. Thanks for the great advice Mamallama!

I have to agree. Taking it slow is something I battle with. I'm an all or nothing type person, so taking it slow is hard for me, but it's something I need to learn to do because I typically take the NOTHING route due to not being willing to do the ALL part You are an inspiration to me though.

I know what you mean. All or nothing is pretty normal for most people I think. I'm a bit that way when it comes to cleaning the house. I get frustrated with cleaning it knowing that it's going to be messed up in 2 hours and I have to start all over again. I can see that this exercising thing is helping me get rid of that mentality....not fast enough though.

I know that I have started out with way to much. I am keeping up with it as best as I can. I realize now that I cannot exercise everyday because I am responsible for my children and things that I don't plan come up. So now I am at least doing the aerobics classes and some abs a few times a week. If I can find time to go walk then I will go. Good advice. I never listen the first time!

I think starting out with three times a week is a great goal. When I was losing weight with my last baby I decided I would walk/run 3 times a week and then try to do abs either after I ran, or just when I could during the week. It worked out great and it's something I stuck to. I went running with two ladies in the ward and I ended up loving it because it was my "out" or whatever you want to call it three nights a week for about 45 minutes each night. Especially when you're in the newborn baby stage it's nice to be able to find just a little bit of time like that to be able to get out, do something for yourself, and just have fun chatting with friends. I have found that the key for me is to choose something that I know I'm going to stick to. Back then it was running with friends (cause I enjoyed being with them) and now I know that the easiest thing for me to do (therefore, the most likely to happen) is finding a show or movie that I really want to watch, and then walking or running (lately it's mostly been walking) while enjoying watching my show. Anyway, that is what's worked for me. I've also found that sometimes you have good days and sometimes you have bad days, and that's okay! Work like crazy when you're really in the mood, and if you're really tired take it easy. I used to HATE, and I mean REALLY HATE exercising, but I know it's because I pushed myself and didn't find a way to make it work for me. You're not going to stick to it if you HATE it, but if you can find a way to make it an enjoyable part of your life, you'll definitely stick with it. Anyway, hope that helps. Everyone is different and has to find their way to do things, but hopefully my story will help.

Oh, how I suffer from exactly what you are talking about. Just not sure I'm at the point of being able to overcome it just yet

5D, I'm excited for you. I love excersise. I love the way it makes me feel strong. I think I missed the roller coaster discussion, however I can imagine what that might be in reference to. I was sick two weekends ago and couldn't even climb the stairs without sending myself into a coughing fit. So I got off schedule. I felt like I was at the bottom of the excersise coaster. Yesterday I started back up the hump and reached the top again this morning. So, I'm back on schedule. It feels good. Teeny, I'm with you. I wish I had a treadmill so I good even just take a leasure walk while watching a movie or a good show. We our on budget for one, but it looks like not until next year. I have been known to get up and march in place during commercials though. My kids think it is quite funny. Sending you all work out vibes. Feel the burn! Dia
