| Trying to use the free 'day old' bagels I received...I found the following delicious recipe online: Crunchy Bagel Chips INGREDIENTS 2 unsliced bagels 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 teaspoon garlic salt DIRECTIONS 1. Refrigerate bagels for 1 hour. Cut into 1/4-in. slices. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Combine butter and garlic salt; brush over bagel slices. Bake at 325 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container. Lots of people posted reviews and tips for this recipe online. Some people prefer to stick the butter and seasonings in a baggie, and shake/toss to coat (rather than brushing on the slices). Some have used sweet bagels with cinnamon/sugar coating. Pairs well with the artichoke dip recipe I posted a while back. And if anybody happens to live near me, and notices this post tonight - you are welcome to come and get some free bagels. |
