Debt Paid Off

I'm hoping to blog about this later, but I'm so excited I just had to share right away. DH made the last payment on the credit card and the van today. This means we are 100% consumer debt free. They only debt we have left is our house, which we have plans to have paid off in ten years.

Congratulations Dia!!! Wow!!

What a great accomplishment!! Wish I could say the same for us----hopefully we'll get there someday too.

You and your dh should be really proud of yourselves to have made this plan and have stuck with it.

I hope to be there some day. We still have debt to take out before we can even think about paying it off; student loans. Soon we will be done taking them out and will begin to pay them off; fun.

This is something you announce in RS? I never would have thought. I guess the only reason I would want it announced is if it would help somebody else. So if you think that making this announcement would help others than that would be great. However, I start picturing people coming up and talking to me in church about it and then I start to cringe, because I don't handle stuff like that very well. I do much better on here.

What a great feeling of liberation...being in debt really is like being in bondage, isn't it. We're working on it--hopefully, we'll be there soon.

Thanks Natick. It does feel good. We aren't out of debt yet. We do still have the house, but hopefully just ten more years to go. That is the plan anyway.

Excellent, Dia! That's so cool. We only owe on our house, also, but ours will be longer than 10 years, I'm afraid... unless my ship comes in sooner than that

This is something that I would probably share in the 'good news minute' if it were me. I was just saying that I would be happy to share it proxy for you if you wanted to share it w/ others. I was half kidding and half serious. You make the call.....it's your "Good News".
