School has started, which means the holidays (all of them from here to the end of the year) are just around the corner. Here's a website I found yesterday to help prepare you for them in a stress free manner. There are three different approaches to getting ready for the holidays and you just pick the plan that works for you....then follow it. I've picked the plan that started on the 29th of August (18 weeks) - I'm interested to see how I do. Hey - maybe this is one of my personal challenges - to get ready for the holidays stress free. We'll see! [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] P.S. If any of you look into this and actually implement it let me know how it goes. I love hearing reviews on this kind of stuff!

Looks like a cool site. I'm debating between the Holiday Grand Plan and the Houseworks 18 week plan. The latter one sounds the most fitting (and enriching) for me at this point in my life, other than I'm having a rather love-hate relationship with the idea of reading a book in conjunction with the plan. I absolutely love self-help books anyway, but I'm just iffy with my level of motivation to read it right now. Plus, I'm behind already, so it would take a bit to catch up. Is that the plan you were doing Diva? Anyway, I'm going to contemplate everything at work tomorrow (where I have access to printing and whatnot) and then make my final decision. Thanks for introducing me to the whole idea. No matter how you prepare, if you start preparing now...I would think it should make a big difference in holiday stress. Know what I mean?

I'm doing the 18 week plan. I think you can get away w/o reading the book - I'm not going to. I think it's more foundational information and you can find that in their web links to the different weeks you're working on. There is a little bit of a learning curve to their system, but really it's pretty cut and dry. The only reservation I have is trusting myself to remember to follow this week to week, but I know I can! Just takes discipline. It's a great year to implement it - no kindergartener! And remember, you can customize this to your liking. You DON'T have to do everything they suggest.
