You can't very well discuss the book if you have a deadline to get it on monday, so reading starts monday.

I'm calling the bookstore as soon as it opens.....I'm so excited to read this....
Okay now, is this a little strange that I also feel a little nervous to read this book for fear of uncovering buried feelings??? Just thinking about reading this book and what it might contain, has caused me to dig up, just a little bit, some buried feelings, that cause tears to come into my eyes and cause me pain....I'm afraid of uncovering buried feelings....they are buried deep to hide some of the sorrows of life......guess it's all the more reason to read it.
I am(or was) a very private person-----this forum is causing me to talk way too much----I can feel the 'fear of vulnerability' calling my name......

I guess if you can't stretch you can't grow. So just look at it as growing pains. Besides if you are anything like me, where I'm at now just isn't working any more. I'm ready to move on.

It's funny ML, because I'm feeling a lot of the same things.

As a result of this book suggestion, I started to really sit and ponder all the possible "buried" feelings or issues I may have. It's not pleasant to be taken off guard BY yourself, especially when you really feel like you KNOW yourself.

I truly believe that most of the issues, hardships, and pain in my life has all been acknowledged and resolved. But, there's this tiny little voice inside, saying that I may be surprised, and [if nothing else] I'll be rejuvenated by a little bit more self-awareness.

Naturally, I think everybody feels that hint of vulnerability, while uncovering deeper truths (whether those deeper truths are personal in nature, religious, or about the universe).

I'm excited from the little bit that I've read so far! And wouldn't you know it...I left my book at home today. I guess I'll have to wait until after work to keep reading. (HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME WORK AT WORK?)

You know it really is funny (not so much), but I thought I was pretty normal myself. Then I started digging and good grief!!! I had NO idea what I'd buried alive.

I'm really excited to get going on this though.

I just wanted to touch base, because I'm already to chapter 4, and I think that it should probably be understood that you can read this as fast as you want or as slow as you want. Feel free to post up information as you read it. It really doesn't matter where you are, just post it, we'll all get there eventually.

Because BS's book is always under lock and key I finally bought my own copy. I hope it's not distracting that I start discussing things from the beginning even though you guys are several chapters into it. I'm excited! Started marking it up this morning. Have all sorts of things I want to discuss!

And I would love to hear your notes and thoughts from the beginning. It will get me motivated to pick it all back up again. I stopped for the holidays, and I've been looking at it longingly for the last few weeks. Probably just needed a little nudge. So...thank you!
