Movie: Miss Potter

We got Miss Potter on netflix last week. It was wonderful! It is about the life of Beatrix Potter, the author and artist of children's stories about Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck and other fun characters. She is an "old maid" of 32 having to live with her parents until she is able to be published. Once she becomes a famous author/artist she is able to buy her own place in the country. This starts her buying more and more places in the country to save them from developers and she ends up not only a famous author/artist, but also a well known conservationist.

The movie is filmed on location in the beautiful Lake District of England that she helped to save. Renee Zellwegger is fantastic as Beatrix. The movie is a wonderful family film, though I'd guess girls would like it more than boys, since there is some nice romantic moments for Miss Potter as well. Enjoy!
