There are a couple of books that I've read that I'd like to write a review about, but I'm hesitant to do so because I've never written a book review before. I've given a book report in school if that's the same thing.... So, I was wondering what kind of information do you put in a book review? I'm going to go ahead and give it a try, but would still love your input on the matter. Last edited by 5ft Diva; 01-01-2009 at 06:17 PM.

Their are quite a few excellent reviews, I suggest looking at them and using them as a template. Just tell what you thought, and that should suffice.

I'd never written one either 5D. I just wrote what the book was generally about (without giving the plot away) and what I thought of that and whether or not I could recommend it and why. I started adding the opening info to mine for quick information to help, since the # of pages is a question that I get a lot about books, but never think to include in the actual review. Anyway, you want to GIVE the kind of information that you want to GET. Keep it short and simple, but say what you'd like to have known about the book before you read it.
