Egg Substitute

I just read that flax seed can be used as an egg substitute. Has anyone tried this? What did you think?

I have heard that, but I've never done it. However, I do know that flax seed needs to be stored in the freezer if storing for a long period of time. In other words if you are planning on it being in your year supply, store it in the freezer. It's not like it will go bad, it will just loose some of its nutritional value.
